Kricklewood Farm Sunflower Oil is made using the traditional ‘Cold Press’ method which results in an unrefined, natural oil not subjected to heat or chemical processing.   It has a low smoking temperature of 225 F / 107 C compared to 320 F / 160 C for extra virgin Olive oil.

It is best used for ‘low heat’  dishes so that the flavour is retained.     It can be used as an alternative to olive oil when a locally produced oil with a lighter, nuttier flavour is desired.  It can also be used as an alternative to butter for corn on the cob, new potatoes and more.

We are creating a collection of inspiring recipes using our Kricklewood Farm Cold Pressed Sunflower Oil, everything from Appetizers to Desserts!  Click on a thumbnail to see all the recipes under each category.  Bon Appetit!

Please feel free to submit recipe ideas to recipes@kricklewoodfarm.com  and we can add them here and send you a complimentary 500 ml bottle of our Kricklewood Farm Sunflower Oil!

Hi Shirley, Thanks for contacting us about your daughters team planting project. We don’t really sell the seeds but we can supply a small quantity if that helps. How much does she need? If you want to call that would be great 613-275-9901 and we’ll see what we can do.

    Best regards,

    Dale Horeczy
