We make goat milk soap using the traditional ‘cold process’ method where fresh goat milk is combined with lye and blended with a mixture of fats to undergo ‘saponification’, the chemical reaction which results in soap. The quality of soap is determined by the quality of ingredients which go into it. The goat milk soap contributes all the moisturizing qualities of milk and the fats selected include shea butter and our own Kricklewood Farm Sunflower Oil. Each fat contributes its own levels of ‘conditioning’, ‘cleansing’, ‘bubbly’ and ‘creaminess’ qualities and together the recipe will give an amazing bar of soap.
We offer the soap in several varieties including Pure and Natural, Oatmeal, Lavender, Rosemary Mint and Cinnamon Oatmeal. They are available at the farm gate, at select retail locations in the area.
