About Us

This has been a journey from the city to the country, beginning in Winnipeg, Manitoba (born and raised thanks Mom), Montréal, Québec and Atlanta, Georgia. My partner Brad Daily and I have now settled on a 90 acre farm in eastern Ontario. Spending time in Atlanta was probably the biggest inspiration to make the move back to the land. It was there that we were introduced to backyard poultry, dairy goats and beekeeping. My introduction to Saanen dairy goats came at Decimal Place Farm where Mary, the owner, offered a goat cheesemaking class. Mary invited me to spend time helping with chores to learn about Saanens and cheesemaking. I also discovered the advantages of goat milk soap and began producing it for sale to some of the local gift shops and markets.
It was a big jump from a city lot to 90 acres and but the transition has been at times challenging but overall it has been a great move. To date we’ve established a flock of laying hens and ducks, a small herd of Nubian goats and somehow we inherited a pot-bellied pig named Pitou.
The farm is located east of the village of Frankville at 421 Kitley Line 8 Road at the corner of Reynolds Road. For directions, click on the aerial view of the farm site below to open Yahoo Maps, click on ‘Get Directions’ to enter your address.
